Redundant power supply
Duplex DC power supply system
The PCSR-150 series power supplies are
modular DC power supplies for use in
computer and RAID systems.
Its modular architecture allows you to build a redundant
power
supply system, PCSR-150-R2H/R2V, by duplex
(parallel) operation of two
PCSR-150-S2S plug-in modules. Both of
lateral mounting system PCSR-150-R2H
and
longitudinal mounting system
PCSR-150-R2V accommodate two PCSR-150-S2S
modules.
The paralleled PCSR-150-S2S modules automatically share the output
current equally
between
them.
Thus, undesired imbalance of the output currents is avoided.
If
either PCSR-150-S2S module fails, the other module
solely feeds a load current.
The PCSR-150-R2H/R2V is capable of
outputting a maximum of 300 W compared
to
the rated output power of 150 W (because each PCSR-150-S2S shares the rated output
power with the other module). To ensure accurate output voltages, the
DC outputs are
compensated for the voltage drop
across the output current summing diodes.
Each PCSR-150-S2S module can be replaced with
new one without shutting down
the system. This
"hot-swappable"
module design facilitates ease of maintenance and
reduces your
total cost of
ownership (TCO).
