Ni-MH battery pack compatible with ecological requirements
The BS06A/B series Ni-MH battery packs are compatible with social requirements for ecology and industrial wastes.
High capacity to assure a long-time battery operation
The BS06A/B series provide approximately 1.5 times greater charge/discharge capacity and 3 times longer life than lead-acid batteries.
Directly replaceable from lead-acid battery (BS05A-P24/2.2L)

The BS06A/B series can be used in place of the BS05A-P24/2.2L lead-acid battery pack because these Ni-MH battery packs have an up-converter that equalizes their substantial charge/discharge voltage with the nominal voltage of lead-acid battery.
Note: Regarding use with the eNSP-300P-S20-11S, the BS06A/B series can be applied to Rev. A and later model of the BU-300P-24P nonstop unit attached to the eNSP-300P-S20-11S. (Not applicable to the units before Rev. A.)

Standard and high-performance types fitting for uses
The BS06A-H24/2.5L standard type Ni-MH battery is suitable for the battery backup of power supply against usual incidental power outage. The BS06B-H24/2.5L high-performance type battery is recommended for the uses involving frequent AC input interruption such as daily power on/off control.
Battery heater to sustain battery capacity in low temperature environment

The battery pack is equipped with a heater to avoid the battery capacity reduction in low temperature environment. The heater enables the temperature inside the battery pack to be controlled at approximately 20°C. The heater can be powered from the power supply unit via the peripheral connector.

The BS06A/B series Ni-MH battery packs meet the system-uses which do not permit access to the battery except when periodic maintenance is performed.

Storage conditions For a long-term storage over 6 months, recharge battery at least once a year. Recommended charge cycle is every 6 months. (If not recharged within the aforementioned term, its charge capacity may not be thoroughly recovered by recharging.)

Warranty

1 year after delivery to customer. For a defect under responsibility of Nipron, battery pack is repaired or replaced with new one at no charge. Warranty does not apply to the failures caused by over-discharge or the uses that do not meet specified conditions.

Note 1: When the efficiency of nonstop power supply in DC input operating mode (no AC input) is, for example, 68%, the maximum output power capacity of the nonstop power supply is 210.8 W (equal to 310 W x 0.68).
Note 2: When the heater is not used, the battery output current must be derated (suppressed) at ambient temperature below 15°C.

Note

BS06A-H24/2.5L

For battery backup of power supply against usual power outage. Suitable for less than tens of backup operation a year.

BS06B-H24/2.5L

For frequent charge/discharge operation such as battery backup performed each time the PC shuts down*1. Also suitable for the backup against usual power outage. With a coercive convection cooling function (cooling fan controlled by a thermo-sensing circuitry)

Note 1: PCs embedding in equipment usually have a main switch combining a shutdown soft-key and power switch. In this case, the battery backup function of the nonstop power supply is used to securely shut down the PC (Operating System) each time the AC input is switched off.
