Nonstop Power Supply Management Software
The NSP Pro power supply management software is the software product to monitor 
the status of UPS or nonstop power supply in a computer system and to lead the 
system to shut-down when a power outage or power line failure occurred. 
This software provides not only the program to shut-down a computer system 
securely and automatically but also the capabilities to prevent a data loss, manage 
the power supply via network, and notify the occurrence of power outage (interruption). 
These software functions enhance the security against power line problems, which is 
vital for information system security management.

Both NSP Pro and Smart NSP Standard software are compatible with Microsoft 
Windows 95/98/NT (Smart NSP Standard is also compatible with Windows Me 
and 2000.)

Method of system shutdown management:
This software makes the computer to continuously monitor the power supply status 
signal coming in its *RS232C serial port from a nonstop power supply (via RS232C 
cable).  When a power outage or an abnormal drop of battery discharge voltage is 
detected, the computer notifies the occurrence of power anomaly by an annunciation 
message in the user's application environment  and securely shuts down the system 
operation.

*Note: USB interface port can be used in place of RS232C by installing SU-US signal unit.


Features

aqua Automatically shuts down computer system when power line voltage does not 
     recover within a user-definable voltage monitoring period after AC input power 
     is interrupted. 

aqua Continuously feeds DC power output to computer system (by temporary battery 
     operation) without system shutdown when power line voltage recovered early 
     within the voltage monitoring period. 
aqua Enables to notify the occurrence of power outage by a user-specified annunciation 
     message (artificial voice message).
aqua Allows a desired application software or annunciation to be initiated when a power 
     outage, system shutdown or line voltage recovery occurred.  
aqua Employs *RS232C interface to communicate with nonstop power supply.
