A variable speed fan is employed for optimum convection cooling. This fan lowers its acoustic noise by operating slowly when the detected temperature inside the unit is relatively low.
aqua Slow convection cooling during standby mode of operation
The cooling fan is operated slowly during standby (Remote OFF) mode of operation to reduce the thermal stress caused by +5 VSB output current (which increases with the number of USB ports used). The fan varies its operating speed as controlled by thermal sensor inside the unit.
aqua High reliability
A grass-epoxy through-hole P.C. board, which withstands vibration, mechanical shocks and thermal stress, is employed to ensure a high reliability for industrial applications.
